Our Community Fun Day and Dog Show is now in its 6th year.
The event promises to have something for everyone, with more stalls, more entertainment from local Youth Groups etc and a Family Dog Show.
We hope you'll join us for a fun family day out
Set up is from 9am with access is from either the Splashdown end or the boating lakes end. All vehicles to be off site by 10:45am with parking in the nearby Quay West Pay and Display Car Park. No Vehicular movements between 10:45am and 4pm with the latter subject to it being safe to do so at the time, in which case provisions will be put in place to remedy as quickly as possible.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
Paignton Lions Club, Its members or associates, accept NO LIABILITY for any loss or damage to your property while you are trading at our venue. It is YOUR responsibility to ensure that your stall complies with Health and Safety legislation at all times and that you have the correct Public Liability insurance cover in place, a copy of which must be displayed on your stall throughout the day. A copy of your Public Liability Insurance cover must also be provided to Paignton Lions Club upon booking, failure to do so may result in non acceptance of your booking.
WE DO NOT provide any stall cover of any sort, nor do we supply tables/chairs for pitches. If you require these then you must supply them and ensure they are securely fixed.
In the event of the need for you to cancel your stall/stalls booking up to and including 19th July a 50% refund will be given. Cancellations after this date will not be refunded.
The selling of Knives/Weapons, Recreational Drugs or Alcohol is strictly forbidden.
You are required to adhere to any reasonable instruction from event marshals/manager on the day, failure to do so may result in you being asked to leave the site with immediate effect.
ACCESS
You have limited vehicular access to the site.
Due to our site being a highly pedestrianised/public environment it is in the interest of Health and Safety that we prohibit the movement of vehicles on Youngs Park as much as possible. Therefore we are allowing all traders access before 11:00am but MUST be removed by 10:45am and after 17:00 in the evening accept in an emergency and for Emergency vehicles only.
When your vehicle is on Youngs Park, YOU MUST have your hazard lights on and stick to a 5mph speed limit. It is preferred that you have an Escort when moving around Youngs Park, please speak to one of our marshals and we will arrange an escort for you.
In the event that the ground is in an unsuitable condition on the day, due to weather, vehicle access may be restricted or denied altogether in order to avoid any damage to the Council owned land.
In the event of an Emergency requiring evacuation of the site an announcement will be made via the Public Address system and marshals will be on hand to direct all persons to a point of safety. DO NOT stop to collect any belongings and please ensure anyone working with you is accounted for. You will be advised when it is safe for you to return to your stall and of any other requirements as a direct result of the emergency.
First Aid cover is provided in the case of an incident and should you encounter or witness a medical episode please let the Public Address marshal know asap, who will then summon the First Aid cover.
Car Parking is available in one of the nearby Pay & Display Car parks. (Note: This is not reserved event parking)
